Graphic X Daishin
in Seoul

Here’s a unique spot I’d like to share in Song-pa, Korea. Graphic by Daishin is a beautifully designed book café filled with graphic novels, art books, and more — the kind of place that feels like a small, stylish library. With its cozy and distinctive atmosphere, it’s ideal for dates or spending slow hours reading. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for something special in Seoul.

Waiting Area

The interior itself is really modern and well-designed. Large windows create a nice sense of openness, and the high ceiling makes the space feel airy rather than stuffy.
When you arrive, you pay first. If there’s a wait, you can wait in the waiting area and the staff will call you when it’s your turn. If the waiting time is long, there’s a separate space where you can order pizza.
I’d recommend getting some pizza while you wait, or if you’re visiting around lunchtime, having lunch first and then coming to Graphic by Daeshin to read and enjoy the café atmosphere.

This is the view of the hall when looking down from the upper floor.
Most people seemed to come with their partner or friends. There were also a few people who brought kids. I had thought of this place as a no-kids zone, but as long as the children are under adult supervision and not too young, it seems fine. The kids I saw when I visited were around 10 years old or older.
One small tip: if you’re coming with friends, try to come in an even number (2 or 4 people). Coming with an odd number can feel a bit awkward — for example, if three people go, one person ends up sitting alone, which feels a little lonely.
Interior

Once the waiting is over, the staff will guide you to your seat. When you arrive at your seat, scan the QR code on the table first — that’s when your usage time officially starts. It’s a time-based system that counts down from the moment you scan. If you’re not sure how it works, the staff will kindly explain everything.
There’s a small storage space under the seat where you can put your belongings (handbag-sized items fit well). The seats are also quite comfortable — you can even stretch your legs out.
Although Graphic by Daeshin is known as a comic book café for adults, they have much more than just comics. You’ll also find art books and a wide variety of other books. There are even foreign magazines, so it’s worth browsing through them.
As you walk around, you’ll also notice outdoor seats available. These feel a bit like a hotel lounge — perfect if you just want to get some fresh air for a while. You can sit there and enjoy your coffee comfortably.
Café Use
(Unlimited During Your Stay)

Once your time starts, all drinks are completely free and unlimited for the duration of your stay. You can freely get coffee, tea, and other beverages as many times as you like while you’re there.
The Books I Chose

Even if you’re not particularly interested in comics, you can still enjoy other books here — just like I did.
There were also some psychology-related comic books that looked really interesting (they were in Korean).
I found a huge foreign art book I’d been wanting to look at — it was so heavy it felt almost as big as my body. Being able to read it here was such a pleasant surprise.
Sitting with my legs stretched out, sipping drinks in the comfortable atmosphere, and chatting with a friend made the whole experience really enjoyable.
Overall Visit & Product Review
Space ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The space was very comfortable, with high ceilings and an atmosphere that felt like a high-end hotel lounge. I really loved it.
Experience ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Three hours felt like the perfect amount of time. The private-style seating design made it feel nicely separated from other groups. Being able to freely enjoy various drinks for free throughout the entire 3 hours after entering was also a big plus. The price feels very reasonable.
Would I come back? ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Even if you’re not planning to read, it seems like a great place to quietly work alone. I would definitely come back — 100%. It’s also a wonderful space to bring a friend who hasn’t been yet, or for a date.
Tips
If you’re looking for a place to eat nearby, there’s a very small Starfield close by.
Among all the Starfields I’ve visited, this one was by far the smallest — I went in and came right back out. Still, there seemed to be a few dining options when I looked around.
Having a meal first and then heading to Graphic by Daeshin seems like a good plan.
