Bagelist is often ranked as one of Seoul’s top 3 bagel spots.
Since opening its first store in Magok in 2023, it quickly gained popularity through word of mouth and has expanded into many department stores. You’ll now find branches in various locations, but I especially like the original Magok flagship, so I’d like to introduce this one.
Bagelist is a bakery that makes proper,
classic-style bagels based on traditional recipes.
It’s said to be inspired by an 18th-century French pharmacy.
They designed the space to feel like they’re “prescribing” a proper meal to customers, and I really like this creative concept.

- Located on the 1st floor, so it’s very easy to find

- Just give your car number at the counter when ordering, and they’ll register it for 1 hour

Exterior
From the outside, it already feels like you’ve stepped into Europe!
There are terrace seats for two along the building wall, and the combination of red brick and white windows creates a warm, charming atmosphere.
The logo of a cute dog wearing a bagel around its neck is especially adorable and memorable — it’s Bagelist’s signature character and really lovely.
Interior
Stepping inside Bagelist, you can clearly see the brand’s concept come to life. Vintage (antique) furniture and pharmacy bottles are neatly arranged to create an 18th-century atmosphere.
Every little prop helps you feel that era. Cute ceramic dog decorations are placed throughout the space, and together with the delicious-looking, plump bagels on display, they really catch your eye.
As soon as you walk in, you’ll notice there are plenty of seats available. Most tables are for 3–4 people, and the large windows looking outside make the space feel bright.
Further inside, the interior becomes a bit cozier. Antique frames, books, and various props enhance the atmosphere even more, and it’s a nice space for pairs to sit. There were also quite a few people working on their laptops.
There’s a door connected to the inside of the building, so if you park and come up from the parking lot, you’ll enter through this side.
There’s an oven and microwave available if you’d like to warm or toast your bagel. If you have leftovers, there’s a packaging station so you can take them home.
After finishing your food and drinks, simply place the trays and cups on the return shelf next to the packaging area. (In most Korean cafes, customers return their own trays after eating.)
For parking, just tell the staff your car number at the counter and they’ll register it for 1 hour of free parking.

Bagelist Menu Photos
There was a wide variety of plump, delicious-looking bagels on display, along with healthy salads for those who are watching their diet.
Bagelist also offers about 10 different kinds of bagels made in-house, with cream cheese to spread on them.
For drinks, they had apple juice, green tea, sparkling water, plain water, and Bundaberg Grapefruit.
This seems to be Bagelist’s newly released Bagel Sand menu.
Except for the Fruit Mongle, most of them appear to be 12,500 KRW. You can check the photo above for the detailed ingredients!

Bagels
Most plain and flavored bagels range from about 3,400 – 5,600 KRW. Specialty ones like Honey Gorgonzola or Jambon Beurre go up to around 6,300 – 8,900 KRW.
Cream Cheese
Most flavors are around 3,100 – 3,900 KRW.
Drinks
- Americano / Espresso: about 4,300 – 4,700 KRW
- Lattes: around 5,200 – 6,800 KRW
- Non-coffee drinks & teas: roughly 4,800 – 6,500 KRW

What I Ordered
What I ordered:
- Drink: A very lightly brewed hot Americano
- Bagels: Deep Chocolate Macadamia Bagel, Mocha Bun, and Mugwort Mochi Bagel
Personally, I enjoyed all of them! When bagels are poorly made, they can be tough and bland. But Bagelist’s bagels are really good.
Overall Visit & Review
Space ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The space felt spacious yet cozy, and the interior atmosphere was really nice. You can look outside through the large windows, and the bagels are beautifully displayed — I loved it. The 18th-century French pharmacy concept was well expressed throughout the space.
Bagels & Goods ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The bagels are delicious and come in a wide variety. I didn’t try other flavors this time, but seeing other customers enjoy them and take them to-go made me think they’re all good.
The coffee tends to come out a bit strong, so if you prefer it milder, just let the staff know at the counter.
Your order is served on plates and mugs featuring Bagelist’s dog mascot. If you like them, you can purchase the items. I personally found the mug with a design that looks like a Parisian (or “Parisian-style”) dog really cute, and the plate was adorable too.
Would I Visit Again? ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The taste is good and the interior is pretty, so it’s one of the places I’d definitely stop by if I’m in Magok.
One thing to note: free parking is only for 1 hour. If you want to leisurely chat with friends for a longer time, it might feel a bit short. If you go over the free hour, the parking fee seemed a little expensive. Just keep that in mind!
