After two years, Sinsa House has reopened its doors, welcoming as its first exhibition the timeless architect Antoni Gaudí.
Held in a space newly transformed by architect Seung H-Sang, this exhibition is an official world tour presentation certified by the Gaudí Foundation of Spain.

This collaboration connects the world of yiayia and friends with the colors, craftsmanship, and imagination that Antoni Gaudí so beautifully expressed.
By reinterpreting Gaudí’s unique visual legacy through a contemporary lens, the collection transforms everyday objects into special pieces filled with warmth, joy, and a sense of wonder.
Exterior
Sinsa House does not have its own parking lot, so I took the subway and walked from Exit 6 of Sinsa Station.
After about a 10-minute walk, the white exterior of Sinsa House comes into view, along with the rainbow-like window display created by Yiayia and Friends, reinterpreting Gaudí’s iconic tiles.
Just past the ticket counter, you’ll find a circular rainbow staircase, a cute little donkey, and lush blue hydrangeas all together.
Even people who aren’t visiting the exhibition often stop to take photos in front of this charming scene.
Admission is only possible with a physical ticket, not with the online QR code.
Please show your booking confirmation or payment history at the ticket counter, and they will exchange it for a physical ticket.
Free lockers are available for storing your belongings, so you can leave any heavy bags behind and enjoy the exhibition comfortably.
Floor Guide
The building has five floors. The exhibition starts on the 5th floor and continues down to the 2nd floor.
On the 1st floor, you’ll find the goods shop and a space where you can get takeaway coffee.
Photo Zone
The Gaudí exhibition photo zone, styled with the warm sensibility of Yiayia and Friends, was so cute and colorful that I just kept wanting to take more photos.
Neon pink tables and chairs were set up so you could enjoy the coffee and desserts purchased inside, and every angle turned out beautifully.
On the left side, the display focused mainly on illustrations, while on the right, Yiayia and Friends’ flowers and chickens were arranged among the greenery.
The little donkey was especially cute — when I placed the goods shopping bag I had just bought on its back, it looked as if the donkey was glancing at the bag.
I didn’t go up the circular staircase, but it looked like it would be a great spot for taking photos from above.
It was a photo zone that simply made me feel happy just by looking at it.

Exhibition Gaudí: Reborn in Seoul
Antoni Gaudí (1852–1926)
was a genius architect from Catalonia, Spain.
He left behind the iconic buildings that define Barcelona and is often called “God’s Architect.”
Upon entering, your ticket will be checked and you will receive a pamphlet along with guidance.
Since the exhibition begins on the 5th floor, please take the elevator up.
This section features models of the decorative towers and chimneys that Gaudí designed, inspired by nature.
You can closely examine the mushroom- and garlic-shaped towers from Casa Batlló, as well as the wheat-ear-shaped towers of the Sagrada Família.
The Opening Space of the Exhibition
In a calm atmosphere, Antoni Gaudí’s life timeline unfolded, allowing visitors to slowly follow his life, philosophy, and body of work and form an overall picture of his world.
The stories, arranged in chronological order, flowed naturally, quietly preparing the heart for the Gaudí universe waiting on the floors below.
These are architectural drawings and plans that Gaudí himself created.
They include cross-sections and elevations of churches and buildings, allowing a close look at his design process.
These tiles feature yellow floral motifs and three-dimensional daisy patterns, showcasing Gaudí’s decorative sensibility.
They are either original artifacts or official replicas.
This section, titled Gaudí’s Columns: The Stone Forest, explores how the double-twist columns were designed to make the interior of the Sagrada Família resemble a forest.
This exhibit recreates one of the decorative elements in which Gaudí blended nature and mythology.
Like the famous lizard (El Drac) at Park Güell, it is a lively animal-form sculpture that frequently appears in his works.
These are original mouth-blown glass pieces that were used in Casa Batlló.
In yellow, green, purple and other vivid colors that Gaudí loved, you can experience the vibrant hues up close.
It shows the phenomenon of colored light being cast onto the floor from the stained glass above.
Media Facade Section
A media space that enlarges and recreates Gaudí’s drawings and sketches.
This immersive media installation showcases Gaudí’s design process and drawing archives, creating the sensation of walking right into his plans.

With moving light and color, it vividly brings the three-dimensional forms and decorative details of his buildings to life, creating a striking visual performance.
Interactive Hands-on Experience Zone
An interactive zone where you can touch and experience everything yourself!
This corner was designed so visitors can directly explore Gaudí’s structural principles with their own hands.
Conoid Roof Model
By tilting and arranging the straight wooden rods, you can directly experiment with how a curved roof is formed.
The Principle of Creating Curved Surfaces with Straight Lines
This hands-on model lets you physically explore how Gaudí designed complex curved roofs — such as hyperbolic paraboloids and conoids — using only straight materials.
Curves Created by Gravity (Catenary)
You can experience Gaudí’s method of designing arches by hanging chains or strings and using the natural curves that form under gravity.
Organic-shaped brass handles
These distinctive curved handles, characteristic of Gaudí’s design, are installed so that visitors can touch and feel them directly.
A large lizard sculpture is covered with colorful trencadís patterns through projection mapping.
Using a tablet, you can change the colors interactively — it was fun to watch it transform into whatever palette you chose.
Architectural Models of Antoni Gaudí
A large-scale model of the Sagrada Família
(Basilica of the Holy Family) was on display.
This finely detailed miniature of Gaudí’s masterpiece — and the symbol of Barcelona — was accompanied by related architectural drawings around it.

This finely detailed miniature captures the building’s signature undulating curved façade and unique rooftop structures, with related explanations and materials placed nearby.
A large model of Park Güell
This is one of Gaudí’s representative works in which nature and architecture are seamlessly blended.
The winding benches, the distinctive entrance buildings, and the park itself unfolding like a forest are all meticulously recreated in miniature, allowing you to grasp the overall structure at a glance.
Model of the Unfinished Hotel in New York
On display was a model of the “Unfinished New York Hotel,” imagining what a 21st-century city designed by Gaudí might have looked like.
Reconstructed with the help of AI, this building combines Gaudí’s signature curves with New York’s vertical urban philosophy, offering a vision of future architecture.
Gaudí’s Handwritten Notebook
A manuscript notebook written by Gaudí himself was also on display.
Filled with his handwriting, the notebook was surrounded by projected text that floated and moved around it in a gentle performance.
It was a personal record of his thoughts and design process.

One of the biggest reasons I wanted to visit the Gaudí exhibition at Sinsa House was because I had already seen Gaudí’s architecture in Spain.

Items I Purchased
I bought some gifts and received them in a shopping bag. Although I didn’t take a good photo of the inside, I chose notebooks and postcards.
The shopping bag was so cute that I ended up buying two of them.
When I placed the shopping bags in the photo zone, the atmosphere instantly came alive. I ended up moving them around and taking many photos.
If you visit, be sure to take lots of pictures with the shopping bags. They’re really adorable.

Gaudí’s Architecture Photographed in Spain

In 2026, the 100th anniversary of Antoni Gaudí’s death, after seeing the exhibition at Sinsa House,
the photos I took of Gaudí’s architecture in Spain years ago suddenly felt different.
Let’s take a slow look at them together.
Sagrada Família
(The unfinished masterpiece — the work of his life)

Casa Milà (La Pedrera)
Gaudí is remembered not simply as a builder of structures, but as an artist who connected nature, faith, and imagination into one. He remains one of Spain’s most beloved architects.
He was a person who translated nature into architecture. He loved curves more than straight lines, and he wove the forms of trees, bones, shells, and mountains directly into his buildings.
He is said to have left these words: “The straight line belongs to men, the curved one to God.”
Gaudí, who left behind such beautiful and great works, passed away in 1926 after being hit by a tram.
Because of his humble appearance at the time, no one recognized him, and he met a tragic end. He now rests in the crypt of the Sagrada Família, the church to which he devoted his entire life.
Even after 100 years, his architecture continues to surprise us, move us, and inspire us anew. I, too, received a great deal of inspiration and emotion through this exhibition.
Overall Review of the Visit & Products
Space ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Although Sinsa House is a relatively small exhibition space, its first show — the Gaudí exhibition in collaboration with Yiayia and Friends — was so beautifully designed, from the exterior to the photo zones, that it made for a very satisfying visit.
The overall composition, from the introduction and exhibits to the interactive experiences, was well organized. If you follow the explanations slowly and look carefully, you can take away plenty of information, inspiration, and emotion.
Products ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Gaudí goods created with Yiayia and Friends clearly expressed the brand’s sensibility — bright, lively, and joyful. Just looking at them made me happy, and I wanted to buy almost everything.
The official merchandise prepared by Sinsa House was also varied, which would appeal to those who prefer a calmer atmosphere. There were also books about Antoni Gaudí, so if you’re interested, it’s worth picking one up.
Willingness to Revisit ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The overall composition was so well done that I’m already curious what kind of architecture-related exhibition they will present next, and how they will design the space.
