If you’re a cat lover, this place is pure heaven — Goyeong House!
I love cats so much that while searching for cat cafés, I discovered Goyeong House in Gimpo and visited it a while ago. The owner loves cats deeply and built this house herself so she could live with them.
Currently, 44 cats live here together with one Bichon Frise who looks after them.
His name is Spy, and he has this adorable vibe of a dog pretending to be a cat among all the felines. Unfortunately, Spy wasn’t there when I visited. I think he only goes out with the owner.
You can enjoy coffee while freely petting the cats and fully satisfy your cat-loving heart in this cute place!
I’ll slowly introduce it to you from now on.

Exterior
When I visited, it was raining, so I hurried inside and couldn’t take many exterior photos. But it looked like a clean and comfortable house. There was space to park cars in the front.
The logo seemed to be an illustration of the owner with a cat, and I could really feel her affection from it. I’ve also seen an interview of hers before, and her genuine love for animals came through clearly. She seemed like a truly warm-hearted person.
If it hadn’t been raining, the cats would probably have been able to play in the yard as well. Because of the rain, I got to see the cute cats peacefully hanging out together inside the house.
Goyeong House Interior & Friends of Goyeong House
As soon as I stepped inside, the cats came to greet me! There was a place to store your shoes, which was very convenient. Just tell them the name under which you made the reservation, and they will kindly guide you — no need to worry.
On the right side, there’s a counter where you can order coffee. Right next to it, you can see the yard through a large window, and the view was really beautiful.
The sight of a cat sitting by the window looking outside looked just like a painting.
Drinks are included in the admission fee, so you can just order whatever you like.
There was a whole row of framed photos of the cat friends, displayed like a family portrait wall.
I looked at them one by one as I went up the stairs, and spotting a photo of the Bichon Frise Spy among them was just too cute.
They don’t accept too many people per reservation time slot, so I was able to play with the cats in a relaxed and leisurely atmosphere.
You could really feel that the house was renovated specifically for the cats. They built cat towers right into the walls,
and the overall ivory-toned interior made the space feel even warmer. The photo above shows the first floor.
All the cats were so gentle, and they actually came up to me first. Some of them even let me hold them.
I don’t know how they can be this sweet… There were both E-type (extroverted) and I-type (introverted) cats mixed together. The I-type cats were wearing collars with bells so you could easily recognize them!
Some friends were resting quietly in small baskets, while many others kept following me around, clearly asking for more affection.
This was another room for the cats on the first floor. Almost all of them were taking a nap, and it was just so adorable. Simply watching them was already healing.

Menu
Since I made a reservation in advance through Naver, the admission fee already included a drink. You can just tell them which menu item you’d like, and they’ll prepare it for you.
If you leave a Naver review, when I visited they gave me a cute cat-paw-shaped madeleine. If you want other desserts or an extra shot, you only need to pay the additional amount.
The menu I ordered
I ordered a chocolate latte and a green tea latte! There was this cute tiramisu-colored cat that was always hanging around the café table area. I think that was its own territory.
You can carry your tray and move around freely, sitting wherever you like while enjoying your drink.
Since the cats shed a lot of fur, they serve the drinks in cups with lids. Look at this cute cat eyeing my chocolate latte… Isn’t it just adorable?
was sitting there drinking my coffee when a cat came up to me and suddenly sat on my lap. As I held it, it was so warm… I started feeling sleepy. We were both warm and leaning on each other while taking a nap.

Space ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Goyeong House is truly… if I were a cat, I would want to live here. There are so many cute and lovable cats, and the space itself is wonderful. The staff constantly clean with a lint roller and keep the place very tidy, so it stayed super clean the whole time.
The cats looked so comfortable, which made me really happy. The ceilings are high and they don’t accept too many people per reservation, so it never felt crowded — that was one of the best parts.
Menu ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
There were plenty of drink options, and with a 3-hour time limit plus a coffee included in the reservation price, I thought the fee was very reasonable.
Intention to Revisit ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I definitely want to come back again whenever I feel like playing with cats and having some healing time. I love cats so much but don’t have one of my own, so for people like me who always say “I’m the only one without a cat,” this place is perfect.
When I visited, there was even someone who has a cat allergy and can’t keep one at home, but loves them so much that she took allergy medicine just to come here.
The space is pleasant and the system is well organized, so I would love to visit again. It would also be a great date spot for couples who love cats.
